About Me
I am a parent, educator, active community member, and the current Board Chair for Bend-La Pine Schools.
I am honored to serve as your representative.
Parent
My husband and I have two children - a 20-year-old daughter in college and a 13-year-old son in middle school. They have both attended Bend-La Pine Schools, giving me first-hand experience as a parent. I have seen the many areas where our district shines, as well as the areas where we can continue to grow. I've been coming home to Bend since I was 24 and have raised my own family here.

I have spent my career in education - as a teacher, a content producer for a professional development company, and a Principal and co-Director of a small district that I helped build - and that closed the achievement gap during my tenure. I now coach Principals and CEOs of small districts serving predominantly marginalized youth and their families, advising them on program development, strategic planning, change management, and accountability.

I believe we are only as strong as our community, and its commitment to creating a place where all can thrive. I give of my time, talent, and treasure to support multiple community organizations - primarily those that serve youth and their families. I chaired the 2022 School Bond campaign, that passed with a 60% approval rating bringing necessary updates to our facilities. I have a demonstrated track record of service, giving back to the community that I love.

In 2019 and again in 2023, I ran for the Board of Directors to promote agency, equity, and belonging in our district alongside organizational and fiscal strength. I have spent the last four years delivering on that promise, while also taking on leadership roles. I look forward to the work ahead in my second term. I am all in.
